Squid blocked sites - Intro
We all hate advertising banners on pages when surfing the web, A proxy such as Squid can used to block these without the need to install any additional software on end users systems. This saves bandwidth as well as protects your privacy from tracking site etc.
What types of sites get on the list?
- Sites which serve advertising banners
- Advertising URLs for non advertising sites (such as ads.somesite.com)
- Tracking sites
