Creating autodetectable software RAID array
For a RAID array to be auto detected at boot time by the kernel it will need to have 0.9 superblock. This feature is now deprecated in newer superblock versions.
Here is an example to create a RAID5 array, with the metadata option set:
mdadm --create /dev/md4 --level=5 --metadata=0.90 --raid-devices=4 /dev/hda8 /dev/hdc8 /dev/hde8 /dev/hdg8
