Kmail problem after slackware upgrade

If you have recently upgraded Slackware to 10.1 and you now receive the following error when checking your email with kmail:

could not start process pop3

You will need to make sure that the package "cyrus-sasl" installed. You can get this from one of the slackware FTP mirror sites or via swaret with the following command:

swaret --install cyrus-sasl

After restarting kmail it should now work again.
